Mardi Gras Table Setting Ideas

Thursday I will participate in Tablescape Thursday at BETWEEN NAPS ON THE PORCH. Make sure you stop by and see all the wonderful tablescapes her readers have submitted.

I have a great collection of Mardi Gras Masks...collected from a Formal Fundraiser we use to attend. These gave me all the inspiration I needed to create this great Mardi Gras Table Setting. I just happen to own a set of purple dishes and purple wine glasses. I quickly discovered that I could wrap the mask band around the wine glasses creating a great display of the masks. Makes me want to have a party!

I had a yard of this sparkly "hairy" colorful fabric that made a perfect table cover.

I used a tall cylinder vase with bright fresh flowers and a three dimensional mask with feathers that I attached at the base. I had these clear green votive candle holders and added purple fur wrapped around the base. I placed some yellow tinsel underneath.

Draped around the chairs are great purple feather boas and chunky beads.

I attached the masks to the wine glasses by doubling the elastic around the glass.

  8. Well, this is FUN! Kind of really invigorating. I'm not so much a fan of parades (crowd shy), but to bring the festivities and ambiance to your table top, I'm all for that.
