DIY Recycled Spider Web Candles

Here is a cool decoration I did and recycled trash as well. I bought a few bags of small skulls at Dollar Tree to use for another project. I took the black mesh bags that they came in, cut the tops and bottoms off and slid them over these cylinder vase/candle holders. They looked like spider webs and enabled me to slide glittery spiders in between - the mesh held the spiders in place. I was able to hang a few on the outside as well.

  1. And I thought I was buying the skulls -- not the mesh bags! Mine just ended up in trash and yours ended up in a cute spider web project. Joni

  2. I want to go out and buy the skulls just to get the bags. This is super cool and super creepy - love it.

  3. Love this idea, saw someone do a pumpkin version of this except using a lace patterned panty-hose. That could be a cool Victorian twist on these possibly sultry Halloween candles. Just started my own entertaining blog at http://cheersforeveryoccasion.blogspot.com/ and posted a Mad Scientist Dinner Party Idea.
