Nature Spring Tablescape And Centerpiece

I created this nature spring tablescape for this great contest at Maddycakes Muse. This contest is for Easter/Spring Tablescapes and Parties! There are some really great prizes and already some great parties and tablescapes posted. Be sure to check them out.

Green apple colored martini glasses became the candle holders. I placed green leaves around the inside of the glasses, fill them with water and added a floating candle.

I had a floral stem of butterflies that I dismantled and added to this moss and twig cylinder. The base is made from decorative wall shelves I wasn't using and found in the basement. I added some moss and small pebbles around the centerpiece and on the table. I also had these glass green bubbles that I scattered around as well.

The place setting is made up of several elements. The base is a piece of ceramic floor tile left over from when we built our house. To add a layer of color between the white plate and the tile I unfolded these pretty grass print napkins. They frame the plate beautifully. The purple salad plate adds contrast and a pop of color. I then place a single green leaf on top and used a small pebble as a place card.

A layering of textures and colors.

The wine glasses are purple with a swirl pattern.

Moss and small apples filled the empty space in the moss cylinder.

I created the tablescape by layering the items. I used decorative wall shelves as the base to this hollow twig and moss cylinder.

Added different length floral stems.

I found some unused ceramic floor tile in the basement and used them as "placemat". Be sure to put a protective barrier between the tile and the table. The tiles are very rough on the bottom and may scratch the table.

The best part is that I didn't have to buy a thing. I already owned everything I used...a little scary! It just came together as I started to search the house for things to use. Happy Spring!

I am also participating in Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps On The Porch. Visit there to see other great tablescapes.
