Senior Prom Fashion Show

Well, this is what I did with my weekend. I was a co-chair for our high school Prom Fashion Show. It is a really great event where any Senior can participate. They model fashions from local stores, do a little dance routine as couples and have a little bio read about them...telling of the things they participated in in high school and where they are going to college. The kids just have a ball! It is actually a fundraiser to make money for the After Prom festivities.

The theme was Casino Royale. (James Bond) Because this is a fundraiser we don't spend tons of money on decorations...just kept it simple. Large blow up dice, large playing cards, lots of mylar balloons, and black tulle with twinkle lights decorated the stage. All these items were purchased at Party City.

Flowers are donated by local flower shops...we bring in a photographer to take the kids pictures as couples. Then give the pictures to the kids to remember the day.

They sure do clean up well...everyone looked fantastic. The dresses were so beautiful this year.

We bring in local hair stylist to give all the girls an "up do"...the boys like to get in on this action as well. A little gel or something. We have local neighborhoods donate baskets for a silent action and desserts and punch are served at intermission. Each participating senior brings a finger dessert.
It's a lot of work, but of course I signed up to do it again next year. It is a great day for all the kids!
