Tea Party Lunch Table Setting

This table setting I featured in an earlier post this year, but thought it would be great for Tablescape Thursday at BETWEEN NAPS ON THE PORCH. The idea was to invite a few friends over on a wintry day for a light lunch and knit. Spending a few hours on a cold day chatting and helping each other with a crafty project sounded very inviting. Here are a few of the details and visit the original post for a link to a great Chicken Salad Recipe.

Ideas for the table...Toss a few skeins of yarn in a basket with a knitting needles. Create a charming table with mix and match china and silverware. Add some pretty paper napkins and lace placemats.

Fresh flowers and a mix of Tea Pots.

This is a great time to use old and interesting items you may have. These are a great collections of antique tea spoons my mother has collected. Not one matches...all are very beautiful. Same goes for the tea cups and saucers...they are a nice eclectic mix.

  10. My daughter would love the idea of skeins of yarn as a centerpiece, she's a big knitter. We have tea every afternoon, cuz she lives right next door. I'll have to share your tablescape with her. I love the pretty spoons too. I messed up my perma link this week so I hope you can find me and drop by my blog.
