My mother has always been very giving...especially of her time and always includes everyone when she entertains. So, the one thing I have learned from my mother is... {It is always better to invite.} When having a party - what is a few more guests. It only makes people feel bad when they have learned they were not included. (especially children) So I always invite...and in the end I am glad I did! Hope you have time to share your motherly tip in a comment!
